Coreopsis grandiflora, or Large Flowered Tickseed, is native to the South-Central and southeastern US, but is considered adventive in the northeast, Midwest and Great Lakes areas. It is a perennial that grows in sandy open woodlands, disturbed areas and in glades and open prairies and meadows. It blooms in late spring into early summer into with golden yellow flowers.
