Hypericum sphaerocarpum, or Roundseed St. Johnswort, is native to the Central US and the immediately adjacent eastern states, but not the coastal ones. It is a perennial that grows in open woods, along woodland edges, glades, openings, and pond and stream margins. It blooms in late spring into summer with yellow flowers.
