Ludwigia alternifolia, or Seedbox, is native to approximately the eastern half of the US. It is a perennial that grows in wet areas, like ditches, marshes, swamps, pond or lake margins, streamsides and other open, wet places. It blooms in mid to late summer into fall with yellow flowers.
