Ludwigia palustris, or Marsh Seedbox, is native to almost the entire continental US, except a couple of the states in the northern part of the Rocky Mountains. It is a perennial that grows in wet areas, like ditches, marshes, swamps, pond or lake margins, streamsides and other open, wet places. It blooms in mid to late summer into fall with small green flowers.
