Nabalus trifoliolatus, or Three-Leaved Rattlesnake Root, is native to about the eastern third of the US. It is a perennial that grows in dry to moist woods, in open to shaded conditions in a variety of soils and along woodland edges. It blooms in late summer into fall with cream-white flowers.
