Platanthera ciliaris, or Yellow Fringed Orchid, is native to the southeastern US, south-central US, upper Appalachian area and Great Lakes region. It is a perennial that grows in bogs, seeps, as well as dry, acidic woods. It blooms in mid summer with yellow-orange fringed flowers.
