Pyrola asarifolia, or Liverleaf Wintergreen, is native to the Western half of the US and is also in the northern tier of eastern states. It is a perennial that grows in dry or wet areas, either on rocky slopes and bluffs or in bogs and swamps. It blooms in mid summer with light to dark pink flowers.
