William Grodi was a farmer from Erie, Michigan.  He was born December 13, 1841, the son of Joseph Grondin and Marie Rose Pitre.

Erie, Michigan is located in southeastern Monroe County, Michigan.

                                                                           

William married twice.  His first wife was Marcella Menard.  They had the following children:

Clara Emma Grodi (1865 - 1943) - married David Burgard
James Grodi (1868 - 1934)
(possibly 4 - 5  other children, about whom little is currently known)

After the death of Marcella, William married to Madeleine Menard, Marcella's niece.  They had the following children:

Susanna Josephine Grodi (1875 - 1958) - married Charles Hope
Mary Agnes Grodi (1876 - 1950) - married Samuel Burgard
Marie Grodi (? - 1967) - married John Deneau
William Grodi (1878 - 1937)
Marcella Grodi (1884 - 1912) - married Columbus Deneau
Cornelius Grodi (1886 - 1968)
Thomas Grodi (1889 - 1869)
Richard Grodi (1891 - 1966)
Wallace Grodi (1894 - 1975)
