Coreopsis rosea, or pink tickseed, is native only to several states on the east coast: Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New York, Maryland, Rhode Island, Georgia and South Carolina; it grows in moist locations like pond margins, wetland edges, streamsides and fens, usually in sandy, acidic soil.
