Drosera linearis, or slender leaf sundew, is a carnivorous plant, having a sticky "dewy" substance on its leaves, which small insects crawl across, becoming stuck and a meal for the plant. It is native to only several states in the north: Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Montana, where it grows in perpetually moist, sandy sites with very poor soil, as well as in bogs and fens.
In our yard, this grows in the Fen.
