Gentianopsis crinita, or fringed gentian, is native to the northeastern quarter of the United States as well as a couple southern states. It grows in wet to moist prairies, swales, fens, open woodland swamps, roadside ditches, and moist areas along trails.
In our yard, this grows in the Fen.
