Lysimachia terrestris, or swamp candles, is native east on a diagonal from Georgia to Minnesota, as well as Oregon, Washington and Idaho. It grows in wetlands, swamps, pond margins and streamsides in wet soil, to actual standing water. It creates small bulblets from which it easily spreads.

In our yard, this grows in the Wetland.
