Monarda fistulosa, or wild bergamot, is a native member of the mint family which can be found growing in all of the states except California, Alaska, Hawaii and Florida. It grows in open woods, fields, prairies, roadsides and along railroad tracks. Its leaves can be used to make a strong tea.
